Providing Christmas gifts for families in need.

Auckland

Heart for Health is about enriching lives towards a sense of health which is beyond the physical. We believe that health is about the spiritual, social, emotional, as well as the physical. In that sense Santa's Little Helpers provides Christmas gifts for children whose circumstances mean they normally miss out, hopefully enriching the health of these young people by providing a little bit of Christmas magic.

This year Santa's Helpers will once again be doing a Queen Street goodie give out. We fill our Santa bags with all sorts of little treats and head out to say "Merry Christmas" to those out and about. If you wish your donation to go toward this then please state so in a message.

I began creating gift boxes for children whose circumstances mean they may not otherwise have a Christmas a few years ago and have slowly built the idea from giving from my own pocket to also fundraising on givealittle in order to provide more.

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
