Raising funds to support Kiara and her family while they start her treatment for Leukemia
Tawa, Wellington
Many of you will know Pam from our Grocery Team here at New World Tawa. Our heart breaks for Pam right now as her 2 year old daughter, Kiara, has just been diagnosed with Leukemia. As anyone with kids will understand, seeing someone so young in this position is heartbreaking.
Pam and her husband Brian have dropped everything over Easter weekend to head to Christchurch where there is a specialist cancer treatment center and care for Kiara as she starts to receive her urgent treatment. Since finding out her diagnosis last Monday, Kiara has already done her bone marrow aspiration and spinal test and confirmed she has a Pre-B Lymboplastic Leukemia.
Both Pam and her husband Brian have left their two high school kids back in Wellington with her parents who just happen to be visiting from the Philippines. Unfortunately neither of her parents can work while they are in NZ as they are only on visitor visas. Kiara's treatment in Christchurch is set to take 6 weeks. That is a long time to take leave from work so I know their family will appreciate any support we can give them while they work through this difficult time.
Scott and Ash, Owners of New World Tawa will match any funds donated to this page to support Pam and her family.
All our thoughts are with Pam and her family during this difficult time. We know that Pam is very appreciative of all your support and best wishes as Kiara works through her treatment.
Pam is one of our amazing employees at New World Tawa and the team here would like an opportunity to support her during this difficult time for their family.
Funds will support Pam and her family with their weekly costs such as rent, food and utilities while they are in Christchurch for 6 weeks for Kiara's treatment and unable to work.
