Help 3 year old Natália thrive

3 year old Natália urgently needs surgery to remove her tonsils, adenoids, and potentially insert grommets. Tauranga Hospital has been unable to provide a clear timeline despite a 10-month wait. She has faced health challenges since infancy, including recurring ear infections. After her first surgery for grommets, her health improved. However last year Natália began experiencing tonsillitis, which worsened over time, now occurring every 2-3 days after completing antibiotics. She was also diagnosed with sleep apnea and placed on the surgery waitlist. Many referrals have been sent and many months passed since her diagnosis, and there is still no surgery date. Her well-being is deteriorating, causing weight loss and hindering her daily activities.

Only this year, Natália has had 12 tonsillitis infections!

She is no longer the joyful girl she once was, as her lack of sleep and constant pain while eating have taken a toll on her well-being. Even when not in the midst of an infection, her enlarged tonsils cause her to gag and struggle to consume a proper meal. Consequently, she has lost weight and now weighs only a few kilograms more than her 5-month-old baby brother.

Parents can’t watch her struggling anymore and have decided to go private, but the cost is $12,000 which is a significant burden for her family so humbly ask your help in making this surgery possible and putting an end to Natalia’s suffering.
