Creative Minds Berlin Filmmaker's Program at Berlinale Film Festival

Hello. My name is Jesse Ung, I am 21 years old and a recent graduate from Auckland University of Technology majoring in film and television. I was recently honored by being selected from worldwide applicants to participate in the 2019 Creative Minds In Berlin Program. Creative Minds is dedicated to finding the next generation of talented Film & TV professionals and ushering them into the entertainment industry. This program will bring me one step closer towards achieving my goals of being a Film & TV industry professional.

Now, as you may expect, is where I need your help. The cost of the program is $1499 USD - converted to New Zealand dollars this is approximately over $2000. This covers my accommodation, fees of attending the festival and transportation.

I have already utilised the majority of my savings to cover the airfares to Berlin, and need some assistance covering the cost of the program itself. I think this opportunity would be very valuable to my professional development as a filmmaker. There aren't enough words to express how passionate I am about film and filmmaking - I am a film reviewer on Zsofi Pictures' website (for 2 years now), I have volunteered at the New Zealand film festival for two years in a row now, and last year, I directed a short film titled "Grind" at university. I poured my heart and soul into it and as of now it has won 6 international awards and been accepted into 4 international film festivals. This is my passion.
