A dedicated young New Zealand rower raising support to make it possible to compete at the 2026 World Rowing Under‑19 Championships
Queenstown, Otago
My name is Charles Manser, and the rising costs of high‑performance sport are placing a real financial burden on my journey.
I'm 18 years old studying Engineering at the University of Canterbury. I have rowed for the local Wakatipu rowing club for 5 years. Rowing has meant early mornings, long sessions, and balancing schoolwork with training.
Recently I have been selected to represent New Zealand at the World Rowing Under-19 Championships in Bulgaria from 4-9 August 2026. I have spent the last several years dedicated to achieving this goal and I certainly don’t want costs to restrict me from achieving my greatest.
This is my opportunity to represent New Zealand and the Queenstown Lakes community on the world stage, something I’ve worked towards for years, and I’m determined to make the most of it.
If you’re able to contribute, no matter how small, you’re not just helping fund a journey - you’re backing a young athlete giving everything to represent his country.
Thank you for your consideration.
The money I receive will be going to help me afford Rowing New Zealand Gear, Training costs, Accommodation, and Flights.
