Help support Aimee Rose following a stage 4 cancer diagnosis.
Auckland
Aimee-Rose was diagnosed with stage 4 bowel cancer in July 2022 at the age of 29. She had surgery in August 2022 to remove some of the cancerous tissue in her bowel and was accepted into a clinical trial in October 2022. In April 2023 she was taken off the trial due to abnormal growth outside of her initial cancer areas. Currently she is receiving chemotherapy treatment coupled with Avastin to slow the cancer growth. The medical insurance Aimee Rose has does not cover the full cost of the immunotherapy drug Avastin or other non-Pharmac funded medicines that could be available to her.
Aimee-Rose is a much loved and respected primary school teacher who describes teaching as what she was born to do. The side effects of chemotherapy has meant that she has had to give up full time work and is only able to do relieving occasionally. There are no benefits that she is entitled to receive which means her husband Aaron's salary needs to cover all of their expenses.
Any donations will be gratefully received to allow Aimee-Rose to continue to fight this disease, help her maintain her quality of life and spend quality time with her loved ones.
Aimee Rose is my sister
The money will be spent on Aimee-Rose's treatment (Avastin), expenses around treatment and any other requirements that arise.
