Help Alapati Get His Treatment

My husband Alapati was recently diagnosed with Polymorphus Adenocarcinoma, which is a rare form of cancerous tumour, in the salivary gland. This type of cancer is found in 1 in 2 million people each year.

Alapati was diagnosed on 6th of August 2025 after multiple tests, examinations and an investigatory surgery, performed on Monday, 08th of September 2025, by the excellent team of doctors at the Auckland Head and Neck cancer unit.

We were hopeful the tumour had not invaded his tissue, unfortunately, it has, limiting surgery options due to the nature of the cancer.

Our only option is for radiation; with the hope it will shrink or slow the growth and invasion of the vital organs, his spine, brain as well as blood.

My husband is currently on a Work Visa, awaiting the results of his residence visa, which was applied on the 30th May 2025, prior to him being asymptomatic and his devastating diagnosis.

He has been working for going onto 12 months since he arrived in NZ and plans on working for our little family during and hopefully after his treatment.

We are asking for your help please. Our first bill is already at $45000, without the radiation treatment, which will begin in two weeks' time.

I myself am blind, and can no longer work. We are heartbroken as we thought our lives are finally getting better, however, with this devastating diagnosis.
