Help Amy move to Cairns to specialise in Avionics

Amy has spent her entire life around aircraft and has always had an incredibly strong passion for aviation. Amy has been working in avionics for the past 3 years as an avionics technician training with Avionics Hawke’s Bay LTD.

Having applied for the Royal New Zealand Air Force and progressing through the difficult application stages and exams, Amy found some heart breaking information. After three years of her hopes being raised and crushed multiple times and a constant fight to progress into the defence force, Amy decided shed had enough of being messed around and being fed misinformation.

Suggested by some work colleagues she found Aviation Australia. A school in which offers the only dedicated avionics schooling and apprenticeships in the Southern Hemisphere. This course is a HUGE step in her life as she has to move to Cairns Australia to attend. Unfortunately this move to Australia and the course fees are enormous and largely complicated.

After several weeks of trying to secure a student loan more bad news. As she is a NZ citizen she can only apply for one here and must remain in NZ to claim it :( No funding. The main fees are $30,000 not including several major things like transport/ food/ stationary ect. But our goal for this page is $15000

Future of aviation

Avionics is a fast growing industry with rapidly declining number of technicians even more declining is the number of avionic dedicated training schools to provide properly trained technicians and engineers for the aviation industry.
