This page is to help Andrew Fairweather raise funds to compete at the 2026 Para-Badminton World Championships in Bahrain
Cambridge, Waikato
Hi, my name is Andrew, I'm a 17 years old with cerebral palsy who plays para-badminton.
In October I competed at the Oceania Para-badminton Championships where I and my men's doubles partner won the silver medal. We then went on to play in the Australian Para-badminton International where we got into the quarter finals.
We are now ranked 2nd in Oceania and 33rd in the world for men’s SL3-SL4 doubles. Our rankings mean we have qualified to attend the Para-Badminton World Championships that are being held in Bahrain, 8-14 February 2026.
I want to represent NZ at the World Championships. To help me achieve this goal your support would be appreciated.
I am raising funds for myself
The money raised will help fund my:
✈️ Flights and travel expenses
🏨 Accommodation and living costs while away
🍽️ Food and transport in Bahrain
It is amazing that I am going, so thank you for helping with the donation!
