Help Annabelle Heal her Heart

I decided to create a fundraising page for my Mum a few days ago. My mum has been in and out of the hospital for almost 2 months now. She underwent various laboratory tests and also had a CT Scan of the Thorax and had Left Heart Catheterization & Coronary Angiogram on 6 July and 9 July respectively. Doctor's impression was Ascending Aortic Aneurysm with Aortic Dissection (Stanford Type A; Debakey Type II). When the results came out we were told that she needs an urgent Vascular Surgery. And to do that we were required to provide a downpayment of P500,000 otherwise the surgery won't be done. Estimated surgery cost would run around P950,000 that is EXCLUDING doctor's fees, hospitalization, and other medical bills. She has a medical insurance but they don't really cover all medical procedures and medical expenses but only reimburse part of it as long as we can provide all documents and bills necessary to claim the insurance.

My Mum is supposed to have the surgery 18 July 2018 at 2PM (Philippine time). It wasn't until just this morning 18 July when we completed all the blood components needed for her surgery i.e. 8 bags PRBC (Packed Red Blood Cells), 8 bags Cryoprecipitate, 8 bags FFP (Fresh Frozen Plasma), 8 bags Platelet Concentrate. It was very difficult to complete these bags of blood to make it in time for the surgery. (Thanks to all the good people who voluntarily donated their blood). However, I was told just now that it has been rescheduled on 20 July as there were 2 patients attended before her. I just hope those blood bags isn't due to expire before her surgery.

I <3 my Mum, I pray for the success of her surgery, and I will do anything I can for her to live because my Mum is a Mum like no other. There are things that only she can do.

I wish that the healthcare system in the Philippines will improve. It is expensive for average Filipinos to seek medical care. We are a country of over 100 million people, and one of the biggest exporters of medical professionals in the world, people who pay taxes but disappointingly has poor healthcare access and benefits.
