Our Bichon X 5yrs dog needs double cataract operation to see clearly. Am fundraising but need money for the operation in December.
Wellington
Aroha is our Bichon x Jack Russell we have had since she was 10 weeks old. She will be 5 years old on Christmas Day and has been diagnosed with cataracts in both eyes. The eye specialist vet in PN says she still has vision behind her cataracts. She is currently blind in the left eye and her right eye sees most of the time. She is a lovely and lively dog and enjoys her walks and catching up with her regular friends but can't see them from a distance anymore and is getting scared of new dogs as she can't see them very well. We have been fundraising as I wanted to earn the money ourselves through weekly plant sales, delivering lots of brochures and newspapers and selling items on TradeMe but the vet wants to operate in December and we are running out of time to raise $3,500 needed for both eyes to be operated on at the same time.
The funds will be used on the cost of the double cataract eye operation, and follow-up appointments in Palmerston North, travelling from Paraparaumu. Any excess funds will be donated to an animal charity.
