For Asinate, life has become so much harder than it should be.

Asinate Afemui is a loving mum of four. Resides in Tonga but here in NZ seeking medical help which is not funded at all. She’s the heart of her family - the one who cooks, cares, laughs, and dreams of watching her children grow up, get married, and one day have families of their own.

But right now, Asinate is very unwell.

She has a markedly enlarged uterus with a very large 20cm fibroid that’s taking up most of her pelvis. The pain is constant. The fatigue is overwhelming. It’s affecting her physically, mentally, and emotionally every single day.

Simple things - playing with her kids, working, even resting - have become a struggle.

The doctors have said she urgently needs surgery to remove the fibroid and give her a chance to get her health back. Without it, her condition will only get worse.

Asinate’s biggest wish is simple: to be healthy enough to be present for her four children. To see them grow. To be the mum they deserve.
