Raising funds for a young Mount/Papamoa family stranded in Australia after the premature birth of their baby at 29 weeks.
Tauranga, Bay Of Plenty
Baby Preston was born at 29 weeks gestation while mum Zeta, dad Jaiden and big sister Arvi from Mount Maunganui/Papamoa area were on holiday in the Gold Coast for one week. Finally out of lock down and able to enjoy a short family holiday little did they know Preston would be born early while away from family and friends in New Zealand. This is a very challenging time for them as they have to find a place to stay, transport and food expenses while they stay and care for their new son who is in the Special Care Baby Unit. He will eventually be flown back to NZ but this will take time. Any donations will be gratefully appreciated while they find their feet.
My name is Sam Rhodes and I am Zeta's midwife here in NZ. I have known the family for quite some time and they will be humbled by any help received.
Food, transport and accommodation and any baby items for Preston.
Thank you 18 October 2022
Many thanks to all who donated. The family remain in the Gold Coast with baby Preston who is getting stronger each day.
