Fundraising for Barbs to pay for wheelchair taxi so she can receive medical treatment at Dunedin Hospital

Otago

Barbs has multiple sclerosis and is in a wheelchair full time for her day to day living. She is also experiencing seizures which are occurring more regularly. Due to her medical needs Barbs is required to travel to Dunedin Hospital for medical procedures and her only form of transport there and back is a wheelchair taxi at around $400 per return trip.

Unfortunately Barbs does not meet the criteria for National Travel Assistance as their hometown is 39 km out of Dunedin (criteria is 50km) and Barbs does not need to make over 22 trips per year for treatments.

We need your help to fund these current and future trips to Dunedin, plus any associated costs. Any donations are much appreciated.
