I am home! My skin and life are good!

Hi everyone, I thought it was time I give you all an update on my skin.

I have been home for approximately one month now and my skin is holding up well. Receiving CAP has given me my life back. My skin is SO much stronger and I am in the position where I can live my life more and can participate in simple life pleasures such as attending get togethers with family and friends, and getting back in to work and the gym (it feels so good!). My skin is still sensitive and I still have more healing to go, however I am in a much better place than I was previously as the symptoms are now very minor and I have quality of life.

Thank you again for your generous support in helping me receive CAP treatment. It was not easy putting myself out there in such a vulnerable state but I am glad I did as I know my story has helped others in a similar situation and also helped prevent others from ending up in the same position as myself. I am incredibly grateful for the kindness I have received since sharing my journey with TSW.

I’m making progress!

Hello! Just a quick skin update from me.

I have made some serious progress after having undergone five CAP treatments. The itch has decreased massively, I am no longer in pain or discomfort, I’m sleeping so much better and I'm feeling more like me.

I have been very mindful of my environment, ensuring it is irritant free and ensuring I rest a lot. This has contributed massively to my healing rate.

I have another 16 CAP treatments to go and I cannot wait to see where I will be at by the end of my stay here in Bangkok. I still have a long way to go to increase my skin thickness but I am on track. The CAP clinic is incredible and the team are the most kind, caring and selfless people. They have already taught me so much about TSW and how to best take care of my skin moving forwards.

A quick update on my progress so far...

Hi everyone!

I have been in Bangkok for 3 weeks now and have undergone 3 treatments of CAP. I have already noticed an improvement in my skin and the doctor at the clinic is happy with my progress so far which is incredible. I am currently battling a couple of skin infections so am working hard to get on top of these.

The clinic has provided me with a lot of education on how to best take care of my skin to give it the best chance to heal - irritants play a massive role in this so I am having to be cautions of my environment. Luckily, the accommodation I am staying in has proven to be 'safe' for my skin as I have not had redness or flaring.

I will be completing a total of 22 treatments over my stay in Bangkok and am excited at the thought of where my skin will be at the end of my treatment. I would like to take the chance to thank you, again, for your support in helping me get here. Your kindness means so much to me and I am really grateful to have been given this opportunity to improve my health.

I recently jumped on a podcast with Toni Street to have a chat about my journey with Topical Steroid Withdrawel. I share my experience in the hope to help spread awareness on the side effects of topical steroids and to hopefully prevent others from ending up in my position. Hi everyone,

Firstly I would like to say a massive thank you to each and every one of you for your kind and generous donations, and for the supportive messages I have received. I am extremely grateful for your help in getting me the treatment I desperately need. It wasn’t easy putting this out there and sharing myself in such a vulnerable light, but I have been blown away by the support.

I am excited to share that I have booked my flight to Thailand and will be receiving my first CAP treatment on 27th Feb. From there I will be receiving 1 X treatment per week for the duration of 5 months. I am so eager to start treatment and to get healing underway.

I will keep you updated on my healing journey.
