I have arrived in Taupo in for hours and eighteen minutes which i believe is the fastest time ever in any yacht. Big thanks to all the boats that came out to welcome me it was really special.
Cant believe how long its taken me as I near Taupo bay with only 3 hours elapsed.
I have found the wind and am gunning it now. The wind is coming from the perfect direction and it couldn't be better.
I'm currently barley moving just trying to make my way out of the bay into some wind. A speed record isn't looking on the cards at the moment. But you never know what the lake will bring.
After undergoing the tricky task of setting up on the back of a motor launch its time to go... slowly.

We have just emerged out of Taupo bay to find an incredibly fresh breeze, a stark contrast to the wind state in Taupo bay. We are now about half way to Tokaanu.
It is a beautiful a beautiful morning cruising out of the Taupo boat harbor on route to Tokaanu. My Yacht is strapped on the back of the motor launch and i cant wait to get going. The conditions at the moment look incredibly light bu this is forecast to build, hopefully they're correct.
