Raising funds for Industry Standard padded safety mats, netting and security system to finish Bolder Inn. Let's get it open by winter!
Otago
Over the last few months, my amazing husband Brad, has been very busy constructing BOLDER INN; an indoor rock-climbing/bouldering facility in Alexandra’s dis-used squash court inside Molyneux stadium.
Setting up an indoor facility is massive. The costs involved have drawn and absorbed a large portion of life
savings. We're at the edge of our capacity to provide further cash injections into the project. Hence, this funding project.
Funds raised will go towards finishing necessities such as; CCTV, fob access system, safety netting - but most
Importantly; industry standard padded safety mats worth $25, 000 ex gst!
The focus for Bolder Inn is on the community - the goal is to develop an all-inclusive culture that supports and builds strength and resilience whilst also providing an essential activity hub all year round - especially for families, sports groups and clubs (helpful in the winter months).
Brad has a huge heart and is truly doing this to add some goodness and do something meaningful with his work. He is working behind the scenes on setting up as a charitable trust, to ensure the future of Bolder Inn retains it's focus of providing a quality and affordable service to the community.
Brad has a tonne of experience working on adventure races like Miss Muddy and Spartan Race in Australia and more recently the Wanaka Dash and the Spirited Women events here in NZ. He really cares about helping people build the resilience, focus and personal growth that these types of events promote; problem solving, facing fear and accomplishing goals that may have previously seemed impossible.
Bolder Inn is a culmination of all of his skills and strengths. Let's help him make it shine!
Every little bit helps.
With all our love xx

Roll on roll out 28 April 2021
We have come far, there is still far to go. Let’s get there.
Alexandra reminds me a lot of my home town, Stanthorpe, the coldest place in Qld.
The best people I know are from these places and the resilience and can do attitude that I think comes from growing up in small cold towns has meant that great people have achieved great things.
I hope that providing a space that might capture and cultivate the already present stoicism that is present in Alexandra may lead to more greatness.
I would like to see some Olympic climbers generated from training in this facility.
