Please help my loving father who has been fighting brain cancer for 8 years
Nelson / Tasman
On the 12 April 2012 – my 17th birthday – our world was turned upside down when he was diagnosed with a brain tumour. He endured brain surgery where they were unable to remove the whole tumour. Once he had recuperated he endured six weeks of radiation treatment. He was soon back on his feet and loving life again.
In 2017 after ongoing scans the tumour began to grow again which led to dad having six series of chemotherapy over a period of a year. All the while he continued to work to put food on the table. All was looking on the up when this year he was diagnosed with a secondary brain tumour. Dad now has to face another operation in the next week or so and who knows what is ahead of us after that.
After over seven years of dealing with these cards dad is now very, very tired and I would love you to put a little bit of sunshine in his life and for him not to have to worry about his financial situation. He so deserves it.
My dad is an amazing Dad and Grandfather to my son, I’d love for him to get all the help he needs and deserves for this hard time.
Loss of income costs, travel costs, ongoing medical costs. Should Brett be able to return to work any surplus donations will be donated to the Cancer Society, specifically for the study of brain tumours.
