Help Bring My Mum to NZ for the Birth of My Baby

I’m reaching out with a very full heart to ask for help bringing my mum to New Zealand this August... Something that would mean more to me than I can put into words.

I haven’t seen my mum in person since I was 18 years old. This year, I turn 32. In all that time, she hasn’t been able to meet my two children, who are now 11 and 6, and she’s missed being there through every stage of my pregnancies—before, during, and after.

Now, I’m expecting what will likely be my last baby. More than anything, I would love the chance to have my mum here with me—to support me, to share in this experience, and to finally meet her grandchildren. It’s something I’ve missed so deeply over the years, and having her by my side for this birth would mean the world to me.

If we can make this happen, it would be even more special—she would also be here to celebrate my nephew’s 18th birthday, a milestone our family would cherish together.

This isn’t just about a visit. It’s about reconnecting after so many years apart. It’s about giving my children the chance to know their nana in person. And for me, it’s about finally having my mum there during one of the most important moments of my life.

Any support, big or small, would go directly toward flights and travel costs to bring her here from England.
