Help Bring my sister and my niece home

Looking for help to bring my sister and niece home.

Auckland

My Sister had left the country when she was only 17 following her boyfriend to south africa.

Unfortunately it never turned out how she imagined.

She has now decided it is best to return home and create a better life for herself and most importantly her child.

This is all where it becomes a bit tricky. She is now stranded on her own with no help and support over there due to a bad break up with the child's father and also with the mother in law passing away last year from cancer.

She has recently discovered that the mother in law did not apply for a visa for her to live in the country (which she has been there for now 9 years and classed as an over stayer) and also did not register the child's birth. So technically this child does not exist

So now we are having to use a lawyer to help us gain this child an identity (with the child being 5yrs old now) and also to help my sister to get out of the country safely with the child.

I would truly appreciate the help of any givers to help myself to fund my sister an niece to come home. As this is now becoming a big expense and strain on my own family. As we are paying for all of her living costs, lawyers fees, applications for legal documents and soon to be flights once we get through it all.

Use of funds

Funds will be used for living costs, lawyers fees, applications for legal documents and soon to be flights costs. If any money is left over it would then be used to help her get set up over here.

Hi there all

I just thought i would provide abit of an update to you lovely givers. Firstly I just want to thank you for all of your love and support I truly appreciate it and so does my sister.

My sister has now received her updated NZ passport and has turned herself in to Home Affairs to report that she is an over stayer. Also to register her child's birth to be able to apply for the child's NZ Citizenship and passport. We are now having to wait for a committee meeting where she will explain why the child's birth was not registered. From that they will register the child's birth. We are not sure when this committee meeting will take place. They cannot provide a date. My sister will just be given a few days notice. I am in hopes that it will happen this month but who really knows when it comes to SA. If it doesn't happen this month the next committee meeting only takes place in February. As they don't hold these meetings in December and January.

What has been raised so far will go towards rent, utilities and food. To ensure that they are been kept safe and looked after in this time.

Once agen i thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

xx Kirsty xx
