Help bring Papa home

Our beautiful 3-year-old Neo Mastiff boy, Papa, is currently in after-hours vet care fighting a suspected case of pancreatitis.

Papa has been at after-hours care since Friday 24/04/26. At this stage, the vets are still unsure if it is only pancreatitis or if there may be other complications that can’t be seen without further care and testing. It is also possible this could spread to further complications.

If you know Papa, you know he’s one big teddy bear. With his gentle nature and big heart, he brings a smile to the faces of everyone he meets. Many around Wellington know Papa and have stopped for a pat or cuddle over the years.

It’s heartbreaking seeing our big boy going through this pain right now, but he is fighting.

His vet bill is currently sitting around $7,000, covering medication and care to keep him stable and as comfortable as possible. The vets have advised that this will not be a quick recovery, and Papa will need to remain in vet care til further notice for treatment, ongoing monitoring, and testing as he continues to recover.

Funds will go directly toward emergency vet care, medication, scans, and any further treatment Papa may need now and in future.

We never thought we’d be in a position to ask for help, but right now we’re doing everything we can for our boy.
