Help Bruno Live

Bruno is a 4 year old Labrador which I had since he was 8 weeks old. He was the most mischievous and energetic pup out of his litter and we fell in love with him at first sight.

He has had a healthy life with regular vet checkups and heaps of love and care.

I am a Mom of 3 and a former nurse unable to work for the past 3 years due to my health conditions and children's special needs.

A regular day turned into a nightmare for us on 1st October. Bruno had a FCE which is kind of like a stroke and became instantly paralyzed from half way down his body.

He has not regained any movement in his lower half, which means he is incontinent now and requires a catheter to urinate and full time care. He is not in any pain and still full of energy. Bruno is just frustrated that he cant run around like he could before this.

I did not have pet insurance due to funds and have spent all my savings into his treatment upto now. (12k). In order to help him continue we need special aides like a wheelchair for independence and quality of life and also therapy to regain his function so he can prevent infections.feom using a catheter full time.

The vet's told us to euthanize him if we cannot provide these cares for him otherwise he will suffer long term with bed sores, infections and depression. We have been given till the end of the week to start deciding.

I really dont want to let him go as hes my boy. I know it will be physically draining, but im willing to do anything to give him his life back
