SPECTRM is a neurodivergent-friendly app creating safe, inclusive spaces for authentic connection and local resources

Kia ora,
My name is Lucas Christiansen, and I’m building SPECTRM — a neurodivergent-friendly social and communication app designed to create safer, clearer, and more inclusive connection.
For many neurodivergent people, traditional social platforms can feel overwhelming and exhausting. Unspoken social rules, sensory overload, and unclear communication often make connection more stressful than meaningful. Too many people feel isolated simply because existing spaces weren’t built with their needs in mind.
SPECTRM is different.
It is being designed specifically for neurodivergent minds — prioritising clarity, consent, accessibility, and emotional safety. From straightforward communication tools to sensory-considerate design, every feature is created with lived experience and community input at its core.
This isn’t just about connection.
It’s about belonging.
It’s about creating a space where people don’t have to mask who they are to feel accepted.
Your support will help fund app development, accessibility features, security systems, and community testing — ensuring SPECTRM launches as a platform built with and for the community it serves.
Everyone deserves meaningful connection.
With your support, we can build something safe, empowering, and truly needed.
Ngā mihi,
Lucas
