A group of youth filmmakers since 2016
Wellington
Kia Ora,
We are Bus Stop Productions, a group of youth film makers, creating media since 2016. Bus Stop was established by cousins Finn Culver and Grace Medlicott, who went on to drag many friends and peers into our little business. This year we are competing once again at the 48-hour film competition on the 15th of August 2025. Our team consists of Finn Culver, Grace Medlicott, Zoe Crane, Roman Barlow, Eva Maeell, Ngakau Bax, James Tavendale, Rory Duff, Flynn Dijkstra, Kiana Poipoi, and Timothy Banks. We will be travelling from across the country to the beautiful Ohakune to begin our challenge at 7pm on Friday!
In 2019, our first attempt, we came away with the student division national first place. Our second attempt was in 2024, under the adult's division, making it to the Wellington finals and receiving "best element" for our use of a match cut.

We are pleased to announce that our 48 hours film "The pen is mighty" is now able to be shared with you all! Thank you so much for all your support and we hope you enjoy it!
This film made it to the Wellington regional finals, nominated for three awards, and came away with the best use of miniature (a particularly cute dragon!)
Cheers,
Grace
