Getting Flynn Olson outfitted in good quality motorcycle gear for his 18th birthday
Auckland
Hey Friends & Family
I am pleased to announce that I am about to become the mother of yet another adult male! Flynn Johannes Olson, my beloved second son is turning 18 in July.
As some of you know, Flynn left school last year and has been working in hospitality as a commis chef, and as well as saving for & buying his rather beautiful knife collection, he's also been saving hard for a motorbike.
So - yesterday (27th of June), he bought a bike! It was a great deal, on sale and so it was a good opportunity to snap it up.
Today (28th June) - he passed his motorcycle liscence practical test!
Tomorrow (29th June, and precisely 4 weeks before his 18th birthday!) he will go sit his theory test.
**Final Step - buy some gear**
As it is his 18th birthday coming up in four weeks time, I would love to gift the gear to him for his birthday. Good stuff isn't cheap, and good gear is really important. As a poorly-paid-but-heart-connected talk therapist, it's a little beyond my reach, at around $1500 for everything. (Jacket, pants, boots, helmet, gloves, security chain).
So - I am here to see if you'd like to contribute to Flynns Suit of Armour birthday gift. It seems really appropriate that he steps into vehicular independence on the eve of reaching the age at which he is deemed an adult! I'd like to recognise him for all his hard work to date - starting a new career and saving for his first vehicle.
If you choose to contribute, please leave a message on the page so he can see who co-created this gift.
Thank you so much for any help you feel able to give!
(Flynn will be picking his bike up mid week, so I'm hoping I can gift this to him as an early birthday pressie - so this page will only be open for a week)
Flynn is my beloved son :-)
The money will be used to purchase motorcycle gear. Should there be any surplus, this will go towards defensive driving course fees.
