This page is here to rally love and support for Carol and Shona as they kick cancer in the arse — together, with courage and a smile.”
Bay of Plenty
Our dear Carol has been diagnosed with cancer and is now preparing for a bone marrow transplant. By her side every step of the way will be her loving wife, Shona — supporting her through the challenges ahead.
Carol is so much more than her diagnosis. She’s a devoted wife, a caring mum, nonna, a loyal mate, a valued colleague, and the heart of every room she walks into (with her signature French profanity - f#*k cancer, in full swing!).
This next stage of treatment will be tough, both emotionally and financially. Your kindness and generosity will help ease some of the stress so Carol and Shona can focus on what matters most — healing, hope, and spending precious time together.
Every bit of support, whether big or small, means the world. Let’s surround them with love, encouragement, and strength.
Thank you for helping Carol and Shona through this journey.
Carol and I met through nursing, sharing shifts filled with challenges, tears, and plenty of laughter — and a friendship that’s lasted beyond the job.
Your generosity will go towards bills and living costs allowing Shona to step back from work to be by Carol’s side through the transplant, giving Carol the chance to focus fully on healing and recovery without the added stress of work or finances.
