I’m raising money to study violin at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland: to pay for the fees, travel and living costs that come with it.

I’ve been accepted to study my Masters in Violin Performance at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland! I will be moving to Glasgow in September this year to begin the 2 year program. The fees are around £25,000 per year. I am chipping away at saving money for fees, travel and living costs but I still have a long way to go. It won’t be feasible without some help! I would appreciate any financial support you can give, every bit will make a huge difference.
I studied music in my hometown Hamilton, at the University of Waikato. The 23 excellent years spent there immersed in the music community cemented my desire to play violin for a living.
I’ve spent the last year in Wellington, saving for my adventure to Scotland by cafe-ing, gigging and teaching.
I chose the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland because of the inspiring performance opportunities it offers. Students can play with Royal Scottish National Orchestra, BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, Scottish Opera and many more. I am passionate about the community building power of teaching music so am excited to be able to teach through The RCS Junior Conservatoire, Sistema Scotland and the Benedetti Foundation.
I’m extremely grateful for the community that made me the musician I am. I am keen to return to my community after my time overseas with more experience up my sleeve. Thank you for your support- of any kind. All of it inspires me and is deeply valued.
