    Tonight, I took Charlie to meet Rochelle from Canine Healing Hands. She was so lovely and spent an hour with Charlie massaging his muscles that are adjusting to life on three legs. She was very impressed with how he’s coping and healing.

    We are able to provide Charlie with this support thanks to all the generosity we have received from you all. Thank you so much for helping us to help Charlie live his best life ❤️

  • The spark is back

    Today marks 4-weeks since our boy had his front leg amputated, and two months since receiving his devastating diagnosis of Osteosarcoma. While I haven’t regretted the decision to amputate the past 4-weeks have not been easy, and gratefully not as hard as I was anticipating.

    While being so courageous and brave, we have worried that over the past 4-weeks Charlie lost his spark, and I wondered if we made the right decision.

    The past week I got glimpses of my Charlie Boy and today I am so happy to see his spark is back. He’s back to being Charlie (minus one leg) and today I know we made the best decision for him ❤️

    He’s also started his medicine trial and so far coping well with the meds.

    We are so grateful for those who have walked right beside us and all the support and generosity we have received.

    We continue to help Charlie live his best life 🥰

    Today, Charlie had a vet check where he had his remaining stitches removed. Unfortunately he also earned himself 5 new ones and some antibiotics, but it is just a small blip. He’s not very happy with me. I bought him a donut! But not the edible kind 😂 10-days with your donut Charlie - short term pain for long term gain my boy! He’s an absolute trooper and despite having the worst GSOD I’ve ever heard 😱 he’s taking it all in his stride ❤️

  • Day 11 post amputation ❤️

    Day 11 - Vet check this morning and Charlie Boy aced it! His surgeon is SO impressed with how well he is recovering and how good the wound is looking! We couldn’t have asked for more!

    He’s a fighter alright!

    Waiting for the biopsy to confirm his diagnosis and then he can start the medical trial!

    We are SO grateful for all the support, shares and love 🙏🏻

    Helping Charlie live his best life ❤️
