We have created this Givealittle page to help ease the financial pressure on the family during this incredibly difficult and uncertain time

On the 12th of October, Kathy received the phone call that no parent ever wants to receive. Her beautiful 17-year-old daughter, Chloe, had been involved in a serious accident on Himatangi Beach.
Chloe was airlifted to Wellington Hospital by rescue helicopter, suffering multiple skull fractures and a bleed on her brain. She was rushed into emergency surgery to relieve the pressure on her brain.
Chloe now faces the fight of her life.
Anyone who knows Chloe knows what an incredibly strong, fit and determined young woman she is. She has a heart of gold, and her kind, caring and loving nature touches everyone lucky enough to know her.
If anyone has the strength and determination to face this battle, it's Chloe. And she won't be facing it alone.
As Chloe begins what could be a long and challenging road to recovery, her parents, Kathy and Kevin, need to be by her side, focusing all their energy on supporting their beautiful girl.
No family should have to worry about finances when their child is fighting for her life.
Any donation, no matter how big or small, will make a difference. If you're unable to donate, sharing this page and keeping Chloe and her family in your thoughts means just as much.
Let's rally around Chloe, Kathy and Kevin and show them just how much love and support they have behind them.
Keep fighting, Chloe. We're all behind you. ❤️
Kathy is a dear friend who is the first person to help others in need.
All funds raised will go towards helping Kathy and Kevin with travel, accommodation, time away from work and any other expenses involved in being there for Chloe throughout her recovery
Chloe's Day 2 Plan 14 October 2026
Posted on behalf of the family
Chloe's CT scan last night showed no changes, which is reassuring news.
She has shown some improvement in her movements and has started rubbing at her eye and attempting to pull at her breathing tube.
Today, Chloe is scheduled to have a CT venogram, which uses contrast dye to give doctors a clearer picture of the blood vessels in her brain and help assess any bleeding or related concerns.
She is also due to be seen by an ophthalmologist (eye specialist) to assess her left eye. Doctors are hoping to examine her hand today as well, to check for a possible fracture.
We are taking things one day at a time and holding on to every little sign of progress.
Thank you all so much for your continued love, support and kind messages. It means the world to us. ❤️
