Help Chris Bolt get back outdoors

Chris is mad adventure sports enthusiast who has always participated in a huge range of sports including windsurfing, surfing, sailing, snowboarding and mountain biking. Unfortunately he suffered a spinal injury whilst out mountain biking last November, spent 4 months in hospital/rehabilitation at Burwood and is now paraplegic with no movement below his chest.

His mental resilience is an inspiration, in part motivated to continue accessing the NZ wilderness and remain active. Maintaining an active lifestyle also helps with some of the cripplingly uncomfortable side-effects of Spinal Injuries. His previous sports equipment is no longer suitable, however he is keen to purchase a custom adaptive mountain bike to be imported from the USA.

Good News - Chris received the quotation a few days ago for his custom adaptive mountain bike from the USA.

Bad News - unfortunately it's going to cost $40,000 NZD!

Good News - It'll be at least 2 months to manufacture and customise for his requirements so there's plenty of time to donate!
