An update from Chuckiee
28 February 2025I'm feeling incredibly loved and supported—thank you for the kind messages, calls, and generosity. I wish I could reply to everyone, but chemo brain makes it tough to keep up. Please know I see and appreciate every single message. A huge thank you to those who have donated via Givealittle or sent support directly. Your kindness means the world.
I had hoped to run more, but my body and mental health have been struggling. Still, I’ve managed 25.8km running and 39.6km walking, and Jayde has been incredible—she ran the Round the Bays half marathon (21km) for us, plus extra runs, bringing her total to 35km running and 50km walking.
Health update: I’ve decided to pause treatment for now—honestly, I just didn’t have the fight in me for a while. The treatments were taking a toll on my body and mind. I’ll be resuming chemo later in March. In the meantime, I’ve applied for clinical trials in Japan and Singapore, hoping for new possibilities.
If you have the time and means, please check out my Givealittle page or take a moment to learn more about ovarian cancer through Ovarian Cancer Action or the Ovarian Cancer Foundation NZ. Awareness and research mean everything in this fight.
