Cody (17 years old) was born 8 weeks prem and as a result has Ceberal Plausy and spends his time confined to a wheelchair. Recently he has become involved in sports such as indoor rowing and wheelchair rugby. He has come across specialised trikes and would love to have one so he can become stronger and fitter and also compete in bike events. He has applications in with Ceberal Plausy Society and Halbery trust. Ceberal Plausy Society have donated $1500 and Halberg Trust will donate up to $4000 so now he is searching for the last $2000. Once he has this trike he will be able to be included in more sports and activities that would normally be unsuitable, it will give him opportunities to fit in with groups and grow his friendship group.

Use of funds

Total cost is $7690.08 and Cody will be at least $2190 short once all current applications are considered. If there is a surplus then the overflow will be donated to the Parafed Manawatu team heading to the Halberg games in Auckland in Oct 2019
