After talking more with Caroline and getting a clearer picture of Cooper’s likely costs, we’ve decided to increase the fundraising target to $7,000.
The original goal was based on an early estimate for one type of surgery and some follow-up care. Since then we’ve learned there are different surgical options with higher costs, as well as more ongoing expenses for his recovery, pain management and long-term arthritis care. There will also be extra vet visits, medications, rehabilitation sessions and transport costs for Caroline to get him to and from appointments.
We want to be honest that this is a bigger journey, and we don’t want Caroline to be left unable to continue his care once surgery is done.
Every donation that has already been given still makes a huge difference, and we are incredibly grateful for the support so far. If we are fortunate enough to raise more than Cooper’s final medical and rehab bills, any remaining funds will go towards his ongoing arthritis management and future check-ups, and we will update this page so everything remains transparent.
Thank you again for helping Cooper and Caroline – your generosity means more than you know. 💚
