Supporting our beautiful friend Crystal as she continues her brave fight with GVHD after surviving Acute Myeloid Leukaemia.
Nationwide
Our beautiful friend Crystal has fought harder than most of us could ever imagine. Diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of Acute Myeloid Leukaemia, she endured 18 months of treatment, pain, and uncertainty with incredible strength and grace.
After a life-saving bone marrow transplant, we hoped the hardest part was over — but sadly, her battle continues. Crystal is now living with Graft vs Host Disease (GVHD), a cruel and often lifelong condition where the donor’s immune cells attack her own body.
She faces constant pain, fatigue, and permanent damage to her eyes, leaving her in daily discomfort that affects even the smallest moments of her life — including caring for her gorgeous wee girl, Zoey.
Her medical team is still searching for a long-term treatment plan through trial and error — changing medications, increasing steroids, and countless appointments and tests. Each step brings new challenges.
Despite everything, Crystal continues to fight with incredible courage. But the toll — physically, emotionally, and financially — is immense.
This page has been created to help ease that burden: to support ongoing medical care, travel, specialist appointments, and the many small but constant costs that come with living in survival mode.
If you can donate or share her story, you’ll be helping give Crystal a little breathing space as she continues this next stage of her journey. 💛
Crystal and her family became friends after we moved to their beachside rural town 17 years ago. Her ongoing battle breaks our hearts - being so young and so much life left to live we just wanted to be able to do something to help xx
