Help Daniel, and selfless healer and support worker, rebuild after a serious crash left his only car written off with no insurance.

This weekend, Daniel was doing what he always does giving back. He spent the last few days at a drum camp, holding space for healing through the koha-based sweat lodges he offers. He builds these spaces with his own hands, pours his heart into the kaupapa, and asks for nothing in return. Daniel shows up for others first a true servant to community, spirit, and those who need him most.

On Monday (24th of November) driving home after the weekend, Daniel tragically fell asleep at the wheel. His car was completely written off. Miraculously, he survived, but he is shaken and now without the vehicle he relies on every day.

Daniel works as a support worker, caring for some of our most vulnerable people. His car isn’t just transport it’s essential to his mahi, income, and the people who depend on him. Unfortunately, the car wasn’t insured, and he now faces the full cost of replacing it.

Daniel is one of the most selfless people I know. He gives, heals, supports, and never asks for anything in return. As a close friend, I feel a deep responsibility to help and I’m asking our community to stand with him too.

Any contribution, big or small, will help Daniel replace his car and continue the important work he does every day. Your support will directly impact his life and the lives of those he serves.

I just want to deeply acknowledge and thank each single one of you, for your Koha, donation, contribution, and financial assistance, which will go towards the finance's clearance and eventually to buy a new runabout.
