We are on the move! Deco Bay Brass is moving out of our old, leaky bandroom on Orchard Road, Hastings. We are very excited to join the Keirunga Arts and Crafts Society in Keirunga Gardens, Havelock North. We have a great rehearsal space in the Nelson Theatre, and are already settled into rehearsing there. However, there is no storage for our brass and percussion instruments, music and uniforms. We have council consent to build a storage room on the outside of the theatre, and now just need to raise the funds for construction.

This storage room will enable us to complete our move, and concentrate on making music and sharing it with our community.

About us

Deco Bay Brass is proudly Hawke's Bay's Brass Band. Formed from the merger of bands in Napier and Hastings, we have a history dating back to 1868. Our aim is to make music and share our love of music with our communities.

Use of funds

All funds go towards the construction costs of the storage room. We have been quoted around $80,000 to complete the project, and have grant applications underway. We don't expect the grants to cover the entire amount.
