Help Dee fight the big C !

Firstly, thank you for taking the time to read Diane's (Dee) story and donating to raise money for her treatment.

In June this year mum thought she just a 'bad winter cold' but after blood tests and a scan she was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer in her liver and spine. Mum had been in remission for six and a half years so the diagnosis came as a huge shock to us all.

Since being diagnosed mum has been taking a drug called Ibrance also known as Palbociclib. This is the first line of treatment for metastatic breast cancer however, it is not funded in New Zealand and costs nearly $6000 per month. Currently mum is having to pay for this medication herself which is very costly and quite frankly it is a huge financial strain. The medication works in conjunction with her hormone replacement therapy drug and starves the cancer cells and so far is has been working, YAY !!

Diane is a wife, a mother to three and a nana to three beautiful young kids, who just love her to bits. She is the strongest, most resilient person we know. She has a heart of gold but will also love you enough to tell you how it is (haha). Diane is the kind of person who is always willing to give you her time and will always be there to help you out.

So I am asking for your help to raise money for Diane so that she can continue to take this medication and live for as long as possible.
