Denise is seeking assistance for life prolonging cancer treatments, to extend her precious time with family and loved ones.
Auckland
Denise was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2019. After 12 surgeries and 4 years of hormonal suppression treatment, she thought she had overcome this vile disease and could live her life free to be who she is - a wife to Alton and mother to Blake and Ivy.
In 2023 she was devastated to receive diagnosis of stage IV metastatic breast cancer, which has spread to her sacrum and liver. Despite radiotherapy and several lines of treatment including subcutaneous implants, oral chemotherapy, immunology and hormonal suppression, the liver lesions have continued to grow.
The next line of treatment is Enhertu, which is a highly effective medication that is unfortunately not funded for Denise's type of cancer in NZ. In addition, Denise is seeking integrative therapy via a 10 week programme at an internationally renowned hospital in Thailand.
These treatments are very expensive (totaling several hundred thousand dollars) and it is currently unaffordable for Denise's family to fund them. We are very humbly requesting assistance to meet the costs of these valuable life prolonging treatments.
Funds gratefully received will pay for Enhertu medication, other unfunded cancer medications or treatments, and integrative cancer treatment in Thailand, including flights and associated costs.
