Help Elinas Kids have a Future! An opportunity to truly help kids in Africa...

Hey all,

We've known Elina for a few years before moving to New Zealand from South Africa. During the time that we've known her and worked with her, we've learned that she is an extremely loving mother and always putting her children's best interests at heart.

Unfortunately due to COVID, Elina has lost her dream live-in job with her kids as an elderly carer and has suffered immense financial hardships due to this.

Elina has two children, her son Miracle, and daughter Mercy. Originally from Malawi, Elina had no choice but to send her son back to her home country as she could not afford school fees and the associated costs. Miracle has now been without his mother and sister for over 3 months.

Chloe and I have been able to help Elina catch up on outstanding school fees for Mercy, but her financial struggles are not over yet and Miracle is still in Malawi. She would love to be able to bring Miracle back to her home in Hermanus and support him in earning a good education. Without formal education, it is nearly impossible for children to break out of poverty and create a sustainable future for themselves and their families.

By pledging to this givealittle page, you will help with the following:

- Reuniting Miracle (currently in Malawi) with his mother and sister (In South Africa)

- Covering ongoing school expenses to help them get an education

- Feeding a family of three

- Providing a home for them to live in

Elina's daily take home pay is $20-$30NZD (whilst she still had a job). This is what she is paid to work 10 hours a day, every day of the week! Her monthly expenses run around $800-$1000.

By simply pledging $50, it is the equivalent of 2 days of work for Elina...

The goal is to raise at least $5000 to help Elina over the next few months to help get Miracle back to her, getting him in a school to continue his education, and not falling behind on any school fees. She is taking on as much work as she can possibly find but it is simply not enough at this time to cover her living expenses and school fees for both kids...

All of the funds raised on this page will be transferred directly into her account as she needs it. Statements can be supplied on request.
