Help Emily and her flatmates get back on their feet after tragic house fire.
Lyttelton, Canterbury
Hello, my name is Lucy. I am creating this page to support my sister Emily, and her flat mates after the devastating loss of their home.
On Friday the 13th of June, Emily tragically lost her first home to a house fire out of her control. 40 Brittan Terrace was not only her home, but a place she loved and cherished deeply. Emily had many dreams for this place, and while she achieved so much in her 11 months of getting to call it home, she has been forced to start fresh. The house can not be salvaged and most items inside are gone.
Emily and her beautiful cat Raffles were home at the time of the event, and we are so grateful that they were both able to evacuate safely.
Emily shared her home with Abi, Briar and Natalie (with fiancé Jack-pictured) who have lost not only their things, but their home too. All proceeds from this page will be split between them to help them all get back on their feet.
Emily had insurance, while the other three girls did not have any personal insurance.
Emily is overwhelmingly grateful for the way people haven’t hesitated to offer support in any way they can. We are so blessed with the most amazing family, friends, and community to lighten the load in this dark time.
Sister of Emily.
The money raised will be shared between Emily and her flatmates.
