Closing of fundraiser
22 November 2021Kia ora everyone! I just want to say a massive thank you to everyone who has donated to my surgery fundraiser. Although these donations didn't meet meet full goal, with the combination of my own life savings, the fundraiser donations and a generous donation from my partner I've been able to actually afford the surgery and had my bilateral mastectomy on the 18th of November. I am currently recovering from it and so incredibly grateful for all the help I've received from everyone here known, and unknown. Thank you for helping me get this gender affirming surgery I've been dreaming about for 6 years, I'm excited to experience life and grow as a person in a body that feels like home. As I have just had the surgery performed I will be closing down the fundraiser so that no further donations can be made.

Confirmed Surgery date
25 June 2021Kia ora everyone!!
I have some super amazing news! I have confirmed a surgery date with my surgeon Chris Porter and I'll be getting top surgery on the 17th of November this year!!! Since this date is so close donations and sharing of this fundraiser are still needed! It'll help me get closer to paying for it and with post-surgery costs while recovering.

Goal update!
8 February 2021I've recently had my chest consultation appointment with my surgeon and now have a better idea of what the final price of my surgery will be.
The total cost includes the surgery, post-op dressings, anaesthetist and hospital fees, and will be between $16,400-16,950 NZD.
I have set the final goal to be $16,950 just to be safe, as I won't know what the final price will be until the surgery is booked and I have to pay.
