Fluffy needs your help to cover the cost of his life saving dental surgery.
Bay of Plenty
Hello there,
This page was created to help Fluffy with getting dental surgery. Fluffy has been a member of our family since 2011.
In the recent 1-2 years he has struggled with bad breath and plaque. During the last vet visit, the vet found 4 epulis in his mouth. 3 at the rear back of his gums and 1 on the top palate, which I noticed is slightly pushing his front teeth. Epulis is basically mass tumors that can potentially become cancerous if not removed.
The vet also said Fluffy is vulnerable to gum disease as the plaque has deepened between the gum and the teeth and will probably rot the teeth at the root. There is already one teeth where the gum is starting to blacken and shrink where the vet has said it will have to be removed.
Fluffy is currently 9 years old with a life expectancy of 16-18 years. He is often mistaken for a puppy because of his energy and is still a healthy doggy in every other aspect. My family and I would like to get him dental surgery (plaque removal included) as soon as possible, but because of financial hardship and the current Covid-19 pandemic, we are struggling to save for the surgery. The vet has quoted the surgery is approximately going to cost approx $650+, which is so expensive! We are very worried that soon Fluffy will start to feel his gum swell and lose his teeth, in the worse scenario getting diagnosed with cancer. Either way its heartbreaking to think of him unable to eat and having to put him down in the future.
I hope Fluffy can accompany us for as long as he can. Every donation will be VERY VERY MUCH APPRECIATED.
All donations will be spend on the Fluffy’s oral surgery. This will include teeth extraction, plaque removal, medications and recovery costs.
All surplus funds will be donated to the SPCA
