Help and support for my Aunt's medical bill, operation and hospital transfer.
Gisborne
Hi, I'm Marifel Sandalo, and I'm raising funds for my Aunt's medical bills and operation. My Aunt, Norma Mejico is a 78 yr old women, single no husband or kids. She doesn't have any source of income and just rely on her pension (2,000 philippine pesos = around 59 NZD per month) she doesn't have her own home and just stays with her 95yr old fragile sister. She was brought in to the hospital due to a clot on her left leg causing her foot tissues to die and needed to be operated on to be amputated. She also sustained fluid in her lungs while in the hospital. She needs to be transferred to a bigger hospital as the hospital she is currently on is a small hospital that is not capable to provide further medical interventions that she needs. The extended family she has, including me don't have financial capabilities to cover her medical expenses. Every donation, no matter the size, can make a significant difference for her. Your generosity can help Norma, to pay for her medical bills, undergo her operation and to be able to be transferred to a bigger hospital. Thank you for your support!
Norma Mejico is my grandmother's younger sister. We call her aunty. She doesn't have any other family, no husband and kids and she only have us to support and help her.

Funds will now go towards funeral costs, in addition to Norma's medical/hospital costs.

For my Aunt, Norma Mejico's medical bill, her operation and fund her hospital transfer to a bigger and more equipped hospital in the Philippines. The extra money will be used for any additional costs for her hospital stay once she has been transferred.
Update for my Aunt Norma 9th Aug 2025 9 August 2025
My Aunt Norma was sent to ICU, she had a code blue and was revived but in a critical condition. We were told that she only has 3% chance to live and just waiting for her heart to stop beating. We were saddened by this news. Blood tests were done to check if the cause was Deep Vein Thrombosis DVT (blood clot in the vein, normally on legs). Before we found out the blood results, she passed away. My Family and I are very thankful for your support and donation. I will continue this Givealittle page to help us pay for her hospital bills and her funeral. Again, Thank you for your generousity and please pray for my aunty's soul.
Thank you very much for your generosity ❤️
