    From Freyja:

Finally, after a week away our boy is home ❤️ he's lost some weight and muscle condition but otherwise is at about 50% beans capacity and not thrilled about being captive. Keeva was beside herself with joy to see him while the cats have yet to comment. Everyone at Massey has told us what a sweet and happy boy he is. We've missed that energy so much and we are so happy to have him back where he belongs.

    From Freyja:

We went to visit Hughie this afternoon. He is doing so well and it was a real relief to see that spark is coming back! He has a drain in still(that's what is attached to the harness) but no feeding tube now..the incision from the surgery goes from the base of his groin up the full length of his abdomen. He was thrilled to see us and wouldn't stay still for photos which is a far cry from Monday! He did get tired quite quickly which is to be expected, but he surprised me by trying to play with the toy we bought him 🥺 he will be home Sunday at the earliest but I think early next week may be more realistic.

The dog who did this has now been impounded so there is progress there too.

We reached our goal on the givealittle within 24 hours and have now surpassed it. We are so so humbled and truly greatful for everyone's help and support. It feels impossible to adequately express that. We wouldn't have been able to do this if it wasn't for others and that is something I will never forget.
