Over 6500 families in Oas, Albay, PH have been devastated by Typhoon Goni (Rolly). They urgently need our help.
International
On 1 November 2020, the Philippines was hit by the strongest storm in the world so far this year, known as Typhoon Goni (local name Rolly).
My hometown in Oas, Albay is one of the many communities in the Bicol Region that has been severely affected by the typhoon. Many have lost their homes, belongings, crops, and livelihood.
Currently, food and potable water are major concerns as families struggle to survive and recover. Power lines are also down and will take months to be restored. While our community has been battling against the effects of COVID-19, the aftermath of the typhoon will surely bring greater poverty to our people.
Can I please ask your support? No amount is too small. Your donations will be used to help the most vulnerable and affected in our community.
We aim to provide food, water, hygiene kits, sleeping kits, and other urgent needs.
All money received will be sent to the Philippines through Ailene Raytana, a friend and co-organiser of our relief efforts in Oas, Albay.
Updates on the proceeds of your donation will be posted on this page.
Thank you so much for your generosity! May God bless you a thousandfold!
Oas, Albay is my hometown, and our community is struggling to survive.
I'm hoping that you can support me in helping my 'kababayans' in these very tough time even in a small way.
Funds will be used to purchase relief goods and other urgent needs for the most affected in the community. Any surplus will be used to provide recovery and rebuild assistance especially to those who have lost their homes and livelihood.
