Help fund an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) for Martin Luckie Park.
Wellington
In light of the recent and deeply saddening loss of two of our Wellington football community, one being at Martin Luckie Park - Island Bay United, is taking steps to raise awareness around early health warning signs within our footballing community.
We’re grateful to the wonderful team at the Stroke Foundation, who will be bringing their mobile unit to Wakefield Park on Saturday, 19 July from 8:15am to 1:30pm, offering free blood pressure checks for all players, parents, and community members. We encourage everyone to come by—just a few minutes could make a real difference to your health.
We’re also using this opportunity to raise funds for an external AED (Automated External Defibrillator) to be installed at Martin Luckie Park. In an emergency, every second counts—and having an AED on-site could save lives. Your support in helping us achieve this goal would be greatly appreciated.
Any additional funds raised beyond the cost of the AED will be donated equally between Wellington Free Ambulance and Stroke Foundation NZ.
