Help get bikes into Porirua

Help us pay for 12 bikes to be used in the Bikes in Schools program in Porirua.

Learning to ride is such an important moment but many children never get the chance to learn because they can't afford bikes. Let's change that.

Realising you can move yourself from A to B, that you can carry yourself forward with the power of momentum, and that the road and possibilities stretch beyond the end of your street or neighbourhood is something worth us helping with.

Because of that belief, I’ve signed up to help Chris Te’o deliver a new fleet of bikes into Porirua schools in partnership with the Bikes In Schools program.

We’ve got a goal of funding 12 bikes for use in Porirua schools. The children using these bikes will be taught to ride them and also to care for/maintain the bikes. These are both important lessons.

Each bike is sourced from a cheap but reliable source, is fit-for-purpose, and costs $342.

If you want to work together with a group and donate enough to provide a whole bike, then please let me know once you’ve done so and I’ll make a note so we can invite you to the presentation of the bike to the school.
