Help get Casper to the Asian Fencing Championships

Kia ora everyone,

My name is Casper Howell and I represent New Zealand at an international level in Fencing. I have competed at the Commonwealth, Asian, and World fencing championships in recent years, and am presently the highest ranked New Zealand sabre fencer on the International rankings.

New Zealand does not fund fencers to compete internationally, so I have to rely on my own savings and the support of the people around me in order to continue competing at the highest level. Flights, entry fees, equipment, and accomodation is not cheap, and each of these competitions costs upwards of 5000 dollars all up.

I have recently been selected for the Asian Championship in Kuwait at the end of June. Kuwait is a comparatively expensive country to visit, and so my ability to attend hinges on your support.

The value in attending these competitions is the ability to meet, train with, and compete against some of the best athletes in the world, which helps me improve exponentially and gives me the chance to bring the valuable skills learned back to fencers in New Zealand. Sabre fencing is rapidly improving here, and I hope to enable that to continue- but I can only do it with your help!
