Raising so much money for a once in my lifetime event while I'm still at school is hard! can you please help me?

International

Kia Ora everybody, I have been selected to proudly represent New Zealand in the inaugural 2019 Youth MMA World Championships, scheduled for August 3 to 4 as a youth fighter (16-17). Held none other but the place where combat sports were born, Rome, Italy. But to get there I need your help!

I am one of 3 youth New Zealanders competing in a 2 day nation vs nation tournament to crown as the best youth amateur in the world for my given division. I am the only New Zealand representative from the Waikato area.

I was brought up in the fight industry with my father Mark Craig whether he was at training or cornering fellow fighters then, later on, reffing and judging. Because of this environment, I was urged to start training myself which started when I was 8. I trained at Henkada judo club before moving on to IMA(Karate/Taekwondo) when I was 10, I then made my way to Core MMA at age 11 where I have been ever since. While training at Core MMA I've also trained at Hawks Wrestling while representing Hamilton Boys High School and so trained at San Bu Kai for an extensive amount of time under Terry Hill.

Over the years I've competed in

1 Core MMA in-house youth MMA fight playing 2nd

2 MMA fights on the same night winning both in the adults, under 85kg division. (under the same rules as I'll be fighting while in Rome.

2 Full Force Fight Co submission only placing 2nd both times in the adult, under 85kg division.

1 NZ No-Gi National event placing 2nd in the under 16, under 85kg division.

2 Sanda fights placing 1st both times, under the NZ Kung-fu Wushu Federation

1 NZ Secondary Schools Olympic Wrestling tournament placing 3rd under the 85kg division.

1 K1 Kickboxing fight winning under NZWAKO

Any donations provided will help cover the cost of getting there will help me cover my registration fee to compete, flights and accommodation to Rome, Italy as well as incidental costs involved in training camp(uniforms, training sessions, lost afterschool work hours, etc)

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
