Help to fund Louis's leg surgery to get him back on his paws!

Johns best buddy or his "hairy son" Louis (aka Mr Brown) is a 3 ½yr chocolate lab.
He is the most adorable loving dog who loves everybody and doesn’t have an aggressive bone in his body.
Around 6 weeks back, Louie started yelping and seemed to be in pain in his back leg while running. So, John took him to a physio. They tried acupuncture and hydrotherapy. Then an X-ray, revealed a ruptured cranial cruciate ligament in his right leg. If left untreated, there's a high chance he'll rupture the same ligament in his other leg too, and develop arthritis, which could be really bad.
The necessary course of action is a major TPLO operation which is a significant procedure. After that, he'll need six weeks of being housebound, followed by 12 to 14 weeks of recovery. If all goes well, Louis should be able to live a fairly normal life. To prevent further complications, the surgery needs to happen sooner rather than later.
Louis is just a young dog, and he's John's best buddy. While Louis recovers, John needs to be around to make sure he doesn't jump up on things and cause more damage. It's all on John because he lives alone. But here's the thing, John has his own struggles too – he's got spinal disabilities and has been dealing with long COVID, so money is tight for him.
Any help to get Louie back on his paws would mean the world to them!

Loui (Mr Brown) Update 4 September 2024
Our sincere gratitude to those who have donated to Loui's first medical costs.
Unfortunately his left leg now requires the same surgery, which is not uncommon for Labradors. We now find ourselves having to find funds again for ACL surgery and ongoing strengthening treatments.
Loui is otherwise fit and healthy. He is a well-known and loved member of the dog clan in our area and once he is through round 2 there is no reason why he will not live a full and happy life!
Round 2 will cost upwards of $10,000, hopefully with no complications this time.
Any contribution would be deeply appreciated.
